Custom Plastic Extrusions

larger image
For over 60 years, we have consistently delivered a finished product designed to meet or exceed our customer’s expectations. We specialize in custom plastic profile extrusion and fabrication along with custom pipe and tubing. Your custom plastic product begins with a team of design engineers who work closely with you to understand your needs. Design accuracy and design manufacturability is optimized by using CAD/CAM technology and our decades of engineering experience. We provide both extrusions and co-extrusions of multiple materials to suit our customer’s needs. Crescent utilizes both single and twin screw extruders for our plastic profiles, tubing, and pipe, with sizes ranging from 3/16” tubing up to 20” wide plastic profiles. In addition, Crescent has the capability for a multitude of secondary operations, both on-line and off-line.

    Size Limitations

We utilize fourteen 3 1/2", single screw extruders for extruded plastics within these specifications:

    - Widths from 3/16" diameter extruded plastic tubing to 20" wide plastic extrusions
    - Extruded plastic part lengths up to 20' long
    - Commodity PVC pipe sizes 1” diameter through 4”
    - Custom commodity PVC pipe sizes 3/16” diameter up to 4 ½”

We utilize both single and twin screw extruders for our plastic profiles, tubing, and pipe.

    Co-Extrusion

Co-extrusion is a technique in which multiple layers are extruded together in a single extrusion.

A common example would be a flexible material combined with a more rigid material at a cross-section; the rigid material adds strength and structural alignment while the flexible material serves another function such as sealing.
